WHERE FEAR AND FUTURE COLLIDE

The Convergence of Science & Myth

By Sacha Stone

If we are to believe the big narrative of today - a story increasingly engineered into mainstream thought - that the fate of humanity is now torn between random acts of terror and a planet in the throes of climatic meltdown - then perhaps it is time to steady our heartbeats for a moment and rewind the tape. Why are we a civilization continuously driven by panic and sensationalism? In the first instance it would behoove us to recall that we do in fact have the mother of all terror-tales underpinning our planetary cosmology, one rooted in fear and separation: cataclysm. And until we are able to view this pathology of origins with objectivity and then move beyond it’s unconscious grip - we will remain programmed to self-destruct.

WHAT INSTEAD DEMOCRACY?

INSTEAD INTRODUCTION

The following text is an abstract (summary) from my researching and thinking about the possible human future on the Earth, written down in a slowly arising form of a book. For this article I took basicly the text of my article Guard who guards the guard from the World Parliament Experiment website and added in first part some of my views to the main world problems.

This text tries to show one possible direction, how all main world problems could be managed. It is idea of a common platform, of basic principles and general rules for all human activities, which will assure the equal (controlled) behaviour of the rich and the poor and diminish the differences between us.

Many people on the Earth already now know (and have known many years ago), that we are doing generally many things wrong. Pollution of the environment and dying of many living sorts are not direct reasons, because of them would the humanity change its behaviour, even if it is proved, that also many human diseases are connected with this. At large “natural catastrophes” and thread of planet warming, some human leaders begin to think a little. The ordinary, average people are too lazy and burdened with their own survival inside their societies, that they simply leave such thoughts to leaders. But even if some of these doubts about today’s life come loudly to the ears of mass, they are quickly silenced by the capital world, which wants this way of life to go on.

Development, less work, more entertaintment, more money and profits, more health, more technology, more democracy, more people on Earth (?)… National products and shares are only to rise… People must be satisfied in their laziness, and they must vote for the leaders who are enabling and supporting their laziness…

I have a simple question: Where are the limits?

THE FORGOTTEN ART OF NAMING THE STARS IN THE SKY

The 21st Century just landed - and the Technogeist drags us kicking and screaming face to face. Making ourselves felt and heard in an instant - we share knowledge and experiences at the push of a return key. Knowing all too well what this growth in global-reach means in terms of our corporate profit margins and the chess-game of international politicking we have yet to comprehend it’s significance in terms of the expansion of our collective spiritual horizon.

The explosion of this new information-overload world order is thought to herald a brave new dawn enabling us to bridge the divides - traverse boundaries. Sadly, it is as much a fact that this new exponentially expanding techno-consciousness brings with it the means for humankind to tumble ever deeper into the abyss of living unconsciousness as we shed our ‘tribal’ root-value systems in favour of a monochromed uber-society.

An Open Letter to Humanity

We are the people of the world……yet are we conscious of what is happening around us every day? Conscious of our world heading toward an abyss? - conscious of the imbalances of this world growing from one day to the next? What kind of a world are we leaving to future generations of humankind - and how will they reflect on us?

Remembering Ancestry, Orientation & Integrity

The Balinese have one of the most complex and fascinating cosmologies on earth. The Tri-Hita-Karana principle - a triangle of Man-God-Nature gives the culture its definitive alchemy. An interesting aspect of this refined culture tells its own tale in the fact that a rice farmer can veto a Prince (Tjokorda) over a decision about whether a tree should come down or a building should go up. This is in part because the local elite demonstrate a visible and barefoot connection with their people and respect the balance which comes from having consensus, and neither fear nor bureaucracy form a defining premise of the order of things. This is democracy at work - and the ‘First World’ needs to learn from it - fast.

OIL, ARMS & AMBIVALENCE by Sacha Stone

The question was never whether or not the transatlantic tryst was justified in seeking to oust a despicable regime founded on the loony-tune sadismo of an ageing warlord with a bad moustache. Indeed, the question was not whether it was sanctionable to swing our telescopic sights a few degrees Sou-Westerly in lieu of a very public failure to unearth the little bugger Osama from whatever ant-hill he calls home in Afghanistan. Nor was the question whether or not it is conscionable to continue the foment of an ever widening gulf between a fractured Islam and a schizoid Judeo-Christian mind-set. The real question, as ever, is far simpler and is to do with the founding premise of that maelstrom we call civilisation - usury: the business of the big guy helping out the little guy with the proviso that the little guy pay back the big guy with interest. A brilliant mechanism - whereby the little guy forever remains a little guy and the big guy gets to hoard more money (bio-survival tickets) than he will ever have the imagination or courage to spend. In order to grapple with the mathematics of First and Third World economics today, it might help to paint a cursory overview. This can be understood by a child in kindergarten as easily as a Professor of Economics in the following way: the First World economy is kept alive and has been for as long as anyone’s Grandmother can recall by the manufacture and sale of Arms (specially conceived man-made objects which terrorise, explode, maim, kill etc..). Third World economies are sustained by the elasticated ‘aid’ and loans extended to them - after they have exhausted all their worldly resources on facilitating the purchase of said Arms - of which the on-going mandatory purchase from the First World is the de facto prerequisite for receiving aid and loans. An interesting feedback loop of human degradation, sufferance and misery as prescribed by those of us in the affluent West to our brothers and sisters on the darker continents.
